Training Center

The CHL Training Program began as part of the original 5 year USDA Grant which provided financial aid for promising young undergraduate and graduate students in the Pacific to attend selected College and University degree programs. It has grown since then through collaborative efforts to include the CHL Summer Institute (SI) and the Child Health Assessment in the Pacific (CHAP) Summer Fellowship Program. Unique to all the programs is the opportunity for students to gain training in research, outreach, and other approaches related to promoting child health in the Pacific region.
