The 11th Annual CHL Center of Excellence and CHL Network Multistate Meeting was held on July 31 – August 4,2023. The meeting was held in-person at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Attendees included researchers, professionals, and students from the University of Hawaii, UH Cancer Center, University of Guam, American Samoa Community College, University of Alaska in Fairbanks, Northern Mariana Community College, Case Western University, University of Tennessee, West Virginia University, and University of Arizona.
The meeting focused on CHL Food Systems Resiliency milestones and timeline for the next year. Highlights of the meeting included updates on a systems dynamic approach, student presentations, top source foods in the CHL intervention trial, sharing cultural identity, and promoting collaboration throughout the Pacific region. The CHL Network meeting had many wonderful presentations on smart snacks through SNAP-Ed in Guam, locally available foods across the region, food prescription program in Hawaii, and iCook 4-H successes in Virginia to name a few.
