Pacific Food Systems for Children’s Healthy Living

This textbook serves as an introduction to Pacific food systems for graduate students and community members and is the OER textbook for the FSHN 601 Food Systems course at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The book covers an overview of agriculture, food environment, and consumer behavior in the Pacific region. It is grounded in Indigenous culture and regional lived experiences, featuring essential case studies from Hawaiʻi, Alaska, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. We are especially proud that trainees from the Children’s Healthy Living Food Systems program served as the lead content writers for their respective jurisdictions.
