In fall 2025, CHL FSEO and CHLN worked with students in the experimental foods course at UH Mānoa to develop healthy snack recipes and evaluate their developments using the CHL Smart Snack Recipe Tool. This was a great opportunity to utilize the tool developed by our CHLN and a great opportunity for CHL FS to extend into the academic curriculum. Through this, CHL FS was able to increase availability of healthy, child-friendly snack recipes that encourage the consumption of locally grown/produced foods in the Pacific.
