CHL team attends 2026 SNEB Conference in Washington, D.C.

The 2026 Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior conference was held on July 29 – 31, 2026 in Washington DC. The conference’s theme was “Flourishing through Change” with presentations on SNAP-Ed, nutrition interventions, policy and NOFO updates, and nutrition education outreach. CHL researchers, students, and collaborators from Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Tennessee, and West Virginia attended the conference and presented their work in poster and oral sessions. 

Poster Presentations: 

  • Household Food Security Status and Diet Quality Among Urban Alaska Children Aged 2-8 Years by Jennifer Galbreath, CHL Food Systems Trainee. 
  • Flourishing Through Pacific Food Traditions: Centering Purpose, Connection, and Community in Regional Menu Development by Ashley Yamanaka. 

Oral Presentations: 

  • Understanding Dietary Intake Among Young Children in Guam to Inform Nutrition Education: Findings from the Children’s Healthy Living Program by Dr. Michelle (Shelly) B. Laguana, previous CHL graduate student.
